About macro shot with high details and artistic appeal. Keep in mind the Depth Of Field, subject focus , background and color quality are key. Unique pictures are encouraged.


What is High Quality Macro?

Exceptional image with excellent details, sharpness, clarity, composition, lighting and no noise.

What is artistic?

Framing, unique, etc. Everybody can take flower shot but only a view know how to make it interesting and artistic. We are looking for unique not just a flower shot.

What is Macro photography?

Macro photography is close-up photography
Limited depth of field is an important consideration in macro photography. This makes it essential to focus critically on the most important part of the subject, as elements that are even a millimeter closer or farther from the focal plane might be noticeably blurry. Due to this, the use of a microscope stage is highly recommended for precise focus with large magnification such as photographing skin cells.

Group Rules :

1. ADMIN Invite picture only.
2. The subject must be in pristine focus with a shallow Depth of Field
3. Subject should be the focal point of the picture with few distractions
4. Picture should not contain noticeable noise or over-saturation
5. Nude, lude or profane pictures will not be accepted
6. Members of pool must comment to 5 (Five) other pictures within the pool for every picture they post
7. Tag picture with "AHQMacro" before posting to the group
8. Be attentive to the level of photo editing (i.e. photoshop). Over using such software does not necessarily make a photo "artistic." The photo must still have realistic coloring and must still have the appearance of a photograph. (no abstract or sketch filters)
9. Invite must be from the ADMIN of this group.
10. Natural macro only. Insect landing in your hand or someone holding it will be not accepted. No Black and White images
11. Posting uninvited image and non macro more then one and REPOST to get comment will be banned without notice. Please follow the rule.
12. Do not block the admin. Once you do it, you not allowed to post picture to this group.
