About Effetto Sabatier
The Sabatier effect is achieved by exposing partially developed prints or negatives to minute amounts of light. A bi-product of this effect are Mackie lines, which are sharp bands of contrast that surround tonal regions to create an outlined or striped effect.
Solarization is the process of creating a partial reversal of tones, like the Sabatier effect, but through extreme overexposure.
