About Filmic Scenes (create ONE title OR synopsis)
Welcome to Filmic Scenes!
This is a group for photos that look like they could be from a scene in a film, whether in existence or not. Photos that are submitted to the pool may be chosen by any other member of the group to create their own Filmic Scene from that photo!
Here is a html-link that you can copy and paste when you create a 'Filmic Scene' from a photo in the group's pool:
Congratulations! Your photo was featured in a discussion at Filmic Scenes
Feel free to browse the discussions and add your own titles and descriptions!!!
RULES:
Actual photo stills from a filmmaking set are not allowed. Also, photos that are clearly straight forward portrait shots without a sense of it being in the context of a larger scene will be removed from the group. Following that vein, photos with subjects looking directly into the camera will also not be included. Not to say that there aren't films where the characters look directly into the camera and break the imaginary 4th wall, but the breaking of the illusion, in my opinion, makes it less filmic:)
To be fair on all members, please limit the number of photos you submit each time to 2 at most. This will ensure a fair spread of photos from multiple members when the Filmic Scenes group is visited by either any of us, or potential future members. Submissions which don't adhere to this will be deleted.
Posts and comments of photos are encouraged (but not compulsory:)) to give the imaginary film a title and/or discuss what it could be about.
For those who would like to submit their filmic scene photo for ideas of Titles and Synopses, and so as to keep the threads within this group's comments, the photo should be submitted in the DISCUSSION posts for members to contribute their ideas. In each post, please embed the photo*, and for the title of the topic, please enter the film title that you have created.
All members are also free to post submitted photos from other members of this group in the DISCUSSION post. Please also credit the photographer (whether it be you, or someone else) in brackets after each title.
(If for any reason you do not wish to have your photo included for discussion, please let the Director/Administrator know.)
Check the updates on the discussion boards to see if your photo has been selected by another member to be given a title and a story! It's always fascinating to see how a single image can spur different people's imaginations in a myriad of ways, allowing us to appreciate each one's point of view.
Enjoy!
