About electionTracker 07 stringer selection
electionTracker 07 is looking for a nationwide team of young enthusiastic PhotoJournalists. The electionTracker 07 Photojournalists will work as volunteers with the electionTracker writing and editorial team to provide the visual news and interest on the youth angle of the 2007 Federal Election.
electionTracker puts young Australians on the trail of the two alternative Prime Ministers during the 2007 election campaign, reporting direct from the front lines and honing in on the issues that matter to younger voters.
Our goal is to engage younger and first-time voters in active citizenship, allowing them to make a more educated choice in the ballot box and feel a part of our democratic tradition.
electionTracker 2007 is presented by Vibewire Inc and the Dusseldorp Skills Forum. For more information visit the facebook page: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5273897305
We are looking for young enthusiastic Photojournalists to shoot news images of the political parties on the campaign trail. We therefore require the Photojournalists to be throughout the country.
There is also potential for Photojournalists to have relevant photo-essays displayed on the electionTracker 07 website, topics of which can be openly discussed with the Picture Editors.
Unfortunately, the positions are unpaid. However we the Picture Editors (two of us, who are also volunteers) want to provide the selected Photojournalists with the opportunity to learn in a professional environment and be a part of a dynamic team covering a significant and potentially historical election for Australia. Those Photojournalists that are accepted will take on the position of an official photographer for the electionTracker 07 team.
The Photojournalists retain ALL COPYRIGHT on their images, though license electionTracker to use those images for their website ONLY and for the period of the 2007 election campaign, up until a week after polling.
Selected PJ's will be required to work to a story, to deadline, and abide by a code of ethics, found here: www.alliance.org.au/media_alliance_code_of_ethics/
