About In These Shoes READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING

Show us what you do in your shoes! This is a place for photos featuring people doing things in their shoes.
There are lots of great shoe groups on Flickr now, so let's keep this group more about the story of the photo than showcasing shoes. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, but there are a lot of groups with that specific intention.)
Ground level perspective shots are particularly encouraged. There are some groups featuring ground level perspective, but any shots including shoes will find a special place of admiration in this group.
Also, a note to fetishists: Everyone's welcome but let's keep the overt and hardcore porn photos out of the pool. There are groups for foot fetish porn (a search for groups with the phrase "foot fetish" garnered 162 Flicker groups, so really, there are plenty of places for these photos to call home) (Just so we're all clear, for the purposes of this group we'll define porn as: Any photo with a reproduction organ/intake opening/fluid naked and visible. Also any photo which is offensively degrading or exploitative. See the Flickr guidelines on porn for further clarification. Follow the Flickr Community Guidlnes which can be found here: www.flickr.com/guidelines.gne)
Here are a few shots I really like and are keeping with the spirit of the group, let them inspire you:
ello dahling's ballet shot,

my O'Hare shot, (yes, shameless self promotion, but also illustrating the idea of action and "doing something.")

G R @ !'s couple shot,

Pete's Relaxing shot,

And probably my all time favorite, Aaltra's Dad and Mum,

The shoes are not the complete subject and focus of the photograph - but an integral component of the story of the photo.
"Product" shots of shoes are discouraged here: If a photo could be a Zappos.com product photo, please refrain from posting it here. UNLESS: You have a story or theme about what you did or would like to do in those shoes (remember the porn rule, though...) OR, there's an interpretive story, as in this shot by maxuixeta,

I like the idea that the wearer of these shoes slipped out of them and dove off the deck leaving the shoes behind. The beauty is in the simplicity: It asks, What happened next?
Also, a few words about artistic license and community responsibility: Please post original photos only. If you come across a great shot taken by someone else (this includes celebrity shots, advertisements, and other Flickrites) you think the group would enjoy, please post a topic including a url where the cool photo can be found so we can all enjoy it in its original context. If you snap photos of strangers without their knowlege, well, again, there is lee-way here, but all of us adults understand the difference between an innocent artistic shot and a guilty perv shot. Plagiarism, stalkerazzi-ism and voyeurism hurt everyone.
I resent being put in a position of ethics enforcer, I don't want to be anyone else's conscience and you shouldn't want me to be your ethics advisor. So please take a few seconds to ask yourself if the photo you're posting really belongs in this group. If the answer is no, post it in one or many of the other fine Flickr groups more suited to your photo. Please note, if I delete your photo from the group it may not be because I don't like the photo. More likely it's because there are better groups and forums for the photo than this one. Yes. I'm doing it for your own good.
