About 'Name Me' or 'Agree a Fee'?
There are a growing number of organisations who seem to be using flickr as a stock image pool, for a variety of purposes and often (although not always) claiming to have no budget to pay for your image. If you have received requests like this, or you are wondering how to respond before it happens to you, this could be a handy place to visit from time to time. The more people use it, share their own thoughts, responses and results, the more useful it will be to everyone and the more likely that they too will take part.
This space exists as a place for people to share their experiences and decisions
regarding any requests to use their imagery. If you have received a request to use your image for whatever purpose, please let us know. In time it would be great to have threads dedicated to information about the requests and responses to the organisations most commonly 'surfing' flickr in this way; so that we can all learn from the experiences of others.
Pool Imagery.
The setting is currently one image per member per day in order to facilitate image related discussion. The focus here is on learning from your experiences (good, bad or indifferent).
If you have an image for which you have received a 'usage' request from an organisation outside flickr, feel free to place it in the pool. Please tag with the following:
Name Me
or
If you have received a request (via flickrmail) for your image in return for cash payment.(This includes requests where no fee is offered initially but is eventually negotiated.), please tag with the following:
Agree Fee.

There are a number of strongly held beliefs and opinions about the impact these requests have upon the broader field of photography, on the nature of flickr, and on the validity of creative commons licensing amongst other things. We actively encourage debates of this nature to help people understand the complexity of the issue. However, this group does NOT exist to tell you what you should do or how you should feel about it. Only you can make that decision. Please bear that in mind when you are inclined to challenge others to reconsider their views.
...and remember - flickr is supposed to be fun!
