13 Apr 08 - Welcome to the Sierra Leone, Africa, Peace Corps Volunteer Group! This is for one of the first groups of volunteers from America that served in Africa in Sierra Leone in the 1960's. A reunion was held in 2007 at Hood River, Oregon. A very fine group of people! Some of these volunteers now have grown children that are going to other places for the Peace Corps. That speaks volumns! Thank-you for welcoming me to your world.

For those that were in Sierra Leone, Africa, serving in the Peace Corps .. this group is for you.

I recently had the honor of being a guest at the Sierra Leone Reunion which was held on the Hood River in the state of Oregon.
My friend served from 1967-1969 in Sierra Leone.

It was indeed a pleasure to finally meet these wonderful people. And to put names to faces! This group is for you!!
