About Above...
Have you ever taken a photo on a flight from Stockholm to Copenhagen? Boston to Chicago? Bima to Denpasar? Portland to Salt Lake City? Here is a group that is dedicated to showing photos taken from a plane, or kite, or hot air balloon that is taken above the earth's surface looking down. Please post only photos you have taken, please do not post photos taken from a space agency unless you are the photographer! Linking to other aerial/satellite photos will be OK in discussions. When posting photos please try and geo-tag them so others can get an idea of where the photo was taken. You can locate features and landforms fairly well using the hybrid photo/map on flickr. If you know anything about the features on the landscape below, point them out with notes on the photos! Let us know what we are looking at. This is geography lessons at their best, and a guide to interpretations of aerial photographs!
