I was just stunned of the possible technical and creative possibilities of
Content-Aware Image Re-Sizing (or Liquid Resize. or Seam Carving...is something brand new but it has already a lot of names ..)

Actually the most advanced implementation seems the Liquid rescale gimp plugin, that is constantly improved and updated and has also for the advantage to be integrated in a graphic editor
