Wow! More people are joining LUGNuts than I can keep track of. Thank you Dunechaser and welcome all! I'll pay individual attention to you all when I get some more time, but I just wanted to call attention to this challenge that I posted just today. I hope a lot of you can take part in it. You have a little more than a month to post your Heroes and Villains entries.
This group will be represented outside of flickr for the first time this March when I will be taking a few LUGNuts members MOCs up to Canada for a car exhibit there. More on that later. For now...welcome aboard and happy building!

Question: Does a hero or villain have to be official DC/Marvel canon, or can I use heroes/villains of my own creation?

I'm thinking Superman and the Green Lantern don't have cars because they can fly... ;)

That's totally beside the point. Even though Spiderman would just get stuck in traffic in NYC, he still deserves a car....

Hmm, I might give this a try if I can think of a hero.
I would also like to know if heroes/villains can be made up in your own imagination like Hawk asked.

To answer your questions, yes, as the write up suggests your hero or villain can exist outside of the Marvel/DC realm...it can even be a real life hero (or villain) and even the ones made up in your head. If your vehicle is not for a super obvious hero (like Batman) then let us know in your write up about your made up hero or villain and his/her vehicle.
And Dezperado...yes, Spiderman would get stuck in traffic in NY, but he really deserves a car.

Awesome first entry, legojeff! A four horsepower car for the Black Knight. I haven't even started mine yet but will probably be posted closer to the deadline if not on the day of. I hope you don't mind that mine will probably have more horsepower than this one. Heh! :)
All LUGNuts, we are off to a good start so keep the Heroes and Villains entries coming. I will set up a string later for all of us to post our entries on and see them all in one place.
Mad P...yes, I knew about our LUGNuts challenge landing on the fine brothers-brick site. It was all part of the evil master plan. Muahhahhahhahhah!

I'm new around here, but here is my MOC:

Representing day-to-day heroes, these two cleaners are fighting against dirt an feculence - along with their ride: The Cleaning Concept Car (CCC).

Helico...yes, I've spotted your CCC and thought it was a brilliant idea. Those scrubbing brushes really make this special...and the water effects really help us imagine it in action. Your interpretation of hero is a good one and this is a fitting dedication to those humble folks who keep our world (and sinks) clean.

Bartemus...looks like you found the answer to how to post a picture. Good to see! Hey, wasn't Daredevil blind? Well, hopefully this car has navigation systems and autopilot. The Street Devil...and excellent entry to Heoes and Villains. Thanks for your submission. I'm still working on mine.

When Gambit, the self-described ladies-man and card throwing member of the X-Men goes out on the town, he does it right in his custom '87 Oldsmobile Cutlass. 40 inch rims and a lift kit guarantee the turning of heads as he cruises his home town of New Orleans.

Be sure to check out the other photos in my stream. I am probably the first to build an Oldsmobile Cutlass out of Lego and though probably not the first to build a donk/bubble/box, it is the first I know of. When I first saw these wheels, I knew what I needed to do and this challenge provided the perfect opportunity to do it. I picked Gambit because I figured no one else would and of all the heroes and villains I could think of, he alone would drive such a ridiculous vehicle.

Proudlove...Now THAT is how it's done! if LUGNuts had a hall of fame, this would be in it. I'm about 90% certain you are the first to do a donk in lego and 100% certain no one has done it this well. Way to rock the Heroes and Villains challenge!

bordolego...I took the liberty of linking the picture for you. This is exactly what we're looking for for our challenges! The chains, spikes and colors are perfect for Spawn. Be sure to send some of the other pictures of this car to the LUGNuts pool, especially the teeth on the grille. Everyone be sure to check out other pictures of this vehicle as it is one not to be missed. Thanks for your participation in the challenge.

Here's mine:

The Mad Hatter's Roadster.
*No, it's not based off the Batman villain, sorry. It's based off one of my earlier projects. The Hatter is an assassin, see, based in Paris. His weapon of choice is an axe, so you know he's fun.

graznador...LOVE the Plastic Man steam crane! So far he's the only hero that IS a vehicle.
JukeBoxJaw...no worries about it not being a Batman villain...in fact the challenge sort of incourages folks to veer away from Batman and let the imagination fly. This is precicely what we look for in our challenges...particularly this one. Welcome to LUGNuts. be sure to also add this to the photo pool.

My entry is done! I'm really not into comic books at all. Heroes and Villains? I couldn't think of anything. I decided to look to real life and are there any people more heroic than fire fighters? I don't think so. So, here's my entry: a pumper truck inspired by a Mack truck from the 'fifties.

Cheers,
Ralph

This is Webslinger, my entry for the LUGNuts Heroes and Villains build challenge. Its a suped-up chopper for Spiderman complete with suicide clutch, web thrower, real launching missile, glow-in-the-dark headlight, knucklehead motor and Spiderman figure for a mast head.

Be sure to check out other pictures and angles of this bike on my photostream. There is even a pic of it firing its web...pretty cool stuff!
I 'm proud of what LUGNuts has done so far. We have some fantastic entries for this challenge. I feared that Heroes and Villains would yeild a dozen Batmobiles, but I'm thrilled at the variety here and our different takes on what is a hero or villain. I propose the next challenge on the 15th. This next one should generate a lot of buzz for anyone who participates. Any more Heroes and Villains entries can be added here before and even after the deadline. Thank you everyone for your great work.
