About The Solway Firth
The group remit is simple - "Pictures of the Solway!"
The Solway is the inlet of sea between the north west of England and southern Scotland. It extends from St. Bees Head (south of Whitehaven in Cumbria) up to the Mull Of Galloway at the western end of Dumfries and Galloway. To the west of the the Solway Firth lies the Irish sea - with the Isle of Man somewhere inbetween.
The rivers Eden, Esk and Nith flow into the Solway Firth.
This group is for photographs of the Solway itself, views across it, beaches and locations alongside it.
Please mark photos with the tag "SolwayFirth" and consider adding them to the Flickr map, thanks!
