Village Zendo, Dotoku-ji,True Expression Temple, is a community of people who come together to practice in the Soto Zen tradition. We do zazen, chanting services, retreats, workshops and study groups.
Participation is open to all. We welcome practitioners and students of various traditions to join us at whatever level of commitment they wish.
We are in the White Plum Lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi. We are affiliated with the Zen Peacemaker Sangha, The Buddhist Peace Fellowship, and the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care.
Roshi Pat Enkyo O'Hara, is the Abbot of Dotoku-ji. She is the Resident Teacher and Head Priest.
We have an affiliate group in Northampton, MA: Zen Center on Main Street.
