What photos should you post to this group?

Any photo that has reached #1 on flickr's interestingness list is eligible for the pool.

My photo was at #1 but now isn't -- can I still post it to the pool?

You bet! Once a photo has been #1 it is permanently eligible for the pool, even after it leaves the #1 position.

How do I prove my photo was #1?

In a perfect world, we wouldn't need proof, but in this world we still need some way for us to know that your photo was indeed at #1. Here is what will work:

1. One of our admins sees it there and leaves an invite in the comment section on your photo.
2. One of our admins goes and looks at the list when you post it here, and sees it at #1.
3. Scout shows that it either is or recently was #1.
4. You have a screen shot of one of the following :

The interestingness monthly calendar page.
The first page of the daily interestingness list.
Scout showing it at #1

If my photo appears on the front explore page, does that mean it was number one?

No, the front explore page is drawn from the Top 500 lists of the previous seven days, and is a seperate thing from being #1.
