About Left Of Field
Sometimes the eye is confused. It is like a hungry creature searching. It looks for new sensations. It devours colours and shapes. The eye rejoices in symmetry and confusion both.
Left Of Field is meant for images of people but not too much for debate and discussion: those are pleasures for the tongue and the ear. Do, please, take pictures of tongues and ears. Avoid overindulgence in moments that are too private or too personal but if it brings pleasure to the eye then good, nothing that will scare the horses. Try to frame images in 35mm, 4:3 or 3:2 format. Try to avoid photos that look like cameraphone, digital or photoshop. Ask yourself if your photograph is really good enough to exist without you.
In the spirit of Will Sterns mighty Tired Of Tulips group I intend to cut the group at 1000 images.
