About Lamps & Lanterns Lingering in Loneliness

Navigating a narrow cobblestone street on a misty eve would not be the same without the aid of the weather-worn and lonely lantern hanging overhead. Routinely unnoticed by the regular passersby, there are those of us who have witnessed and captured the essence of their beauty whilst lit or awaiting their time to shine. It is in this showcase we will bring them each into deserving light.

Definition of Lamps & Lanterns Lingering in Loneliness
Quaint vessels made in a design with the sole purpose of illumination as an aid in the midst of darkness. Typically made of glass or metal and using wicks or electricity to produce light. These are not your modern and ordinary table lamps, camping lantern, streetlamps, paper lanterns, or candles. The display in this group is defined by the old-style streetlamps or lanterns which emit a feeling of reminiscense or romance.

Posting Guidelines
The following guidelines have been produced to achieve the main aim of the group which is to produce a stream of lovely lights from around the world. Images will be removed from the pool if there has been no attempt to make the lamp or lantern the main feature of the image or if it is not within this groups definition of a lamp or lantern. (Listed below are groups for images of lamps or lanterns with other definitions.) Please add the location of the lamp or lantern in the description or as a tag. 20 photos a month maximum.

Comments & Compliments
Leave them lonely no longer: give them an accompanying lamp from the group. No, this is not a requirement, just a common gesture of goodwill. Take a browse through the group images and leave a comment with the additional "comment code" or invite a fellow lonely lamp which has not yet joined the company of our lamps using the "compliments code".
