Never heard of "needlefelt" also known as "dry felting"? It is the technique of creating felt using a special barbed needle to dense the wool, instead of the "wet felting" technique of adding water and agitation to felt the wool. Needle Felting was only invented in the 1980's. Compare that to painting and other forms of sculpture that have been around for thousands of years! Every needle felt piece is an original.
