About Chicago Rails
A group for pictures of trains and related subjects in or around Chicago. If it runs on rails, is related to something that runs on rails, and is from the greater Chicago area, it belongs here.
Rules
To elaborate on the above, the posting guide lines for this group are thus...
What to Post
Subject: All photos most either depict a vehicle that runs on rails (e.g. a Metra train, the el, a freight train, etc.), or something directly related to such (e.g. a station, a signal bridge, train tracks with no train present etc.).
People are okay, as long as they are clearly shown to be in a railroad environment, or have some clear connection to such (a shot of people waiting at a train station is good. A shot of a uniformed Metra conductor in an ambiguous location is also okay)
Location: All photos must be taken in the greater Chicago area. For purposes of this group, we’ll define the borders of the Chicago area by where the various Metra lines terminate (i.e., the western border would be Aurora, the southern one would Joliet, and so on).
Picture Quality: Please try to upload photos that have artistic merit, or lacking that, are exceptionally well executed. Snap shots from a common angle, and/or poor quality photos with no artistic merit may be deleted.
Posting Limit
Is set at 6 photos a day for now.
