About Ice Age National Scenic Trail
This is a group dedicated to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in Wisconsin. Commonly known as just "The Ice Age Trail" this trail is part of the national scenic trail system that includes The Pacifict Crest Trail, The Appalacian Trail and others. The Ice Age Trail is 1200 miles long and traces the edge of the greatest extent of glaciation during the last period of the last ice age. In addition to showcasing ancient glacial features like moraines, drumlins and eskers, the trail wanders through forests and meadows and along streams an lakes, giving those who hike here a good slice of Wisconsin past and present.
