About Videowest
This invitation-only group is for friends of Videowest, the San Francisco TV studio that created a new genre of music video journalism in the early eighties.
If you were part of that madcap adventure and care to share the memories, please join us and say hello. We hope this can help us reconnect with old friends, plan our next reunion, and transfer our video archives in digital format.
Here are some of our best pictures from Videowest, with hundreds of pictures shot by dozens of people, from 1978 to present - hand-picked from different Flickr accounts.
As Joe Dea said, "we were pointing our cameras in the wrong direction" -- in hindsight, the most interesting stories were in our own community.
