10 Jun 11 - Hello all! First of all, let me thank you for all your awesome submissions, I'm really happy to see more and more fantastic pictures of the number 42. Just a reminder though: this group is for photos of the number 42 in real life, so please don't submit screenshots or any random picture where "4" and "2" appears somewhere by accident. The number must be the subject of your photo. Also the more we see the number 42 in the thumbnail, the better!

Do you see the number 42 everywhere ? Do you eventually become so obsessed that you takes pictures of it ? Then join us in our quest to find The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything! Welcome to the group 42 !

This group is an homage to Douglas Adams' book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in which the number 42 is The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, as calculated by an enormous supercomputer over a period of 7.5 million years. See Wikipedia's page if you'd like to know more.

This group is for photos of the number 42 in real-life. The number must be visible on your photo. In some rare case we also accept pictures related to The Answer which doesn't actually show the number (some exemples are : 42 displayed in binary, phrases from The Hitchiker's Guid to the Galaxy, ...), but this is not the main goal of this group. Screenshots are to be avoided too.
