The 18th century refers to the century that lasted from 1701 through 1800 in the Gregorian calendar. Please post photo's that relate to this time in history from all over the world. Including, Art, architecture, costume, music, decorative arts, etc, etc,

Inventions, discoveries, introductions such as the Rosetta stone ,The Spinning Jenny created by James Hargreaves brought on the Industrial Revolution , The French Encyclopédie.
Vitus Bering discovered Alaska , Modern steel was developed by Benjamin Huntsman , The first piano was built by Bartolomeo Cristofori , Steam Engine invented by Thomas Newcomen, Europeans discovered rubber - the discovery was made by Charles-Marie de la Condamine while on expedition in South America.

The age of reason and change brought about a movement helped create the intellectual framework for the American and French Revolutions, the Latin American independence movement, The high baroque and classical eras in music, and the neo-classical period in the arts; it receives contemporary attention as being one of the central models for many movements in the modern period. Prominent Enlightenment philosophers such as Thomas Paine, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and David Hume questioned and attacked the existing institutions of both Church and State.
