About Photoelasticity

Transparent objects photographed between two polarising filters.

Rules

This group is for pictures that exploit Photoelasticity.
This group is NOT for Photoshop work. There are many other groups for that.

There are no posting limits - I am not expecting this to be a mega popular group. In fact I may remain the only member for some time, he he.

If you would like to have a go

To make these images I am using a light box, a sheet of linear polarising filter and a Circular polarising filter mounted on the Camera lens.

UK People - I obtained my polarising filter from a company in Taiwan for $9USD and it is A4 in size. I have seen internet vendors in the UK who will supply a piece of filter 5cm by 3cm for £10. It pays to shop around!!!
