Looks pretty professional, it did take a wee while to load especially the first home page. That could be because I'm at my work and things here are pretty slow full stop.

This might all come across as negative, but personally I think you'd prefer that than me giving you some bullshit. I'll try and be as constructive as I can.
I guess the site is ok, but the colour scheme is a bit nasty, personally. The welcoming images isn't all that welcoming and "Photography is an Art. I create art with my camera. You, whom which I photograph are my subject. Together we can create memories for you to take home and share with your family and freinds." is a bit cheesy.
The rotation time on the animated gif is too fast and makes the whole thing pointless because no one has enough time to really look at the images in it. It also seems to be clickable but doesn't actually do anything when clicked.
I also couldn't find any examples of your work that were'nt smallish thumbnails. You're asking people to pay money without actually seeing some good, hi-res examples of your work.
Also your page body text on ALL your pages are one big image? This is terrible practice. Firstly the text in that image won't be indexed by search engines. People who are blind won't be able to read your page content through their screen readers. If you really must have your text as an image then at least make sure you include that text in an alt tag for that image, or have a text version which is hidden from the browser.
A great example as to why the way you have done the body text is bad is the fact that you have your email address on some of the pages but you can't click it to actually send you an email. Do you expect people to type it out? No one is going to do that. Clicking the email address should automatically open their mail program and have the 'to' address filled in automatically. This doesn't happen here, and that will annoy some of your visitors. You'll also get far fewer email correspondence from your site.
Essentially the photography is the selling point on a site like this, at the moment there is more empty space and text than images.
Hope this helps.

That was a lot of writing there. Thanks for that. I don't know one website that puts high res photos of their work. There are several examples of work on the site if you take the time to click, then I do have a link to my flickr account which then in turn has a porfolio. I see what you mean about the email, but on the contact page there is a link that opens up your email with the email address ready to go.
Why would people who are blind want to see my images? That doesn't make sense at all.
Thanks.

Accessibility is what the alt. tags are for. I enjoyed your website. Navigation was easy. High resolution images isn't a good idea because of the file size. When you say $50 a session, what does that mean in time? Too me your site is Professional. Great job.
A little side note:
In 1973 I was stationed in Fort Hood Tx. One if the men in the 75th Inf. was named Ducharme. And then, again in 1975, Ducharme was stationed in with me in Panama. We were both Radio Telephone Operators for the Company Commander. So, your name was a pleasant surprise to see.

Thanks for the comment on the site. I understand the accessability issue. I may change it up. I will get ideas from this post and will have a better site as a result! Thanks. As for my last name...I am originally from Canada...moved to the States about 4 years ago!

I wouldn't expect hi-res images but at least ones that you can clearly make out the quality of the photography. Also the comment about blind people is general, accessiblity is key here. People with sight difficulties can still see, just not clearly enough, is it that hard to make a site accessible to them? I don't think so.
Also with todays broadband uptake, file size is no longer an issue with images, as long as they are less than 200k in size, you'll be fine. Also I did take the time to look through your site. If you don't want critical feedback then fair enough, but at least I took the time to right you some feedback instead of saying 'It's nice' and then just leaving the thread. Right?
Also why have your portfolio on your flickr page? They'll probably find some one else with images just as good as yours on flickr and approach them... you want to keep them on your site, not lead them away from it.
Hope you get it sorted.

Another way to get ideas would be to visit other Photography websites. What is a session in time? An hour?

Not a bad site. But it seems incomplete. When you go to some of the catagories of photos there aren't an examples of your work or links to examples of your work. On the family portrait section it gives a link but takes you to the individual portraits gallery. I would expect there to be examples of family photographs not ones of individuals. You should have more examples of your work. And the slide show that you do have still moves pretty quick. I'm lazy and don't want to have to click on a button to stop the show.
Also, your email should be to your domain not your yahoo account. In other words your email address should be mrdphotography@mrdphotography.net not mrdphotography@yahoo.com. To me that says amateur and I'd just pass by you if I need a professional photographer. But that's just me.

A very good start....
I think you got some good advice so far.
A few pointers from my side (amateur in both photography and web design!)
Make use of the flickr widgets as well as something like flickriver. It gives a bit more dimension to a site. It is very simple since they give you the html code to copy and paste!
Keep in mind your start up page...it is the front door to the rest of your site! That will make people browse further or just leave.
check the layout and colour of your tabs (headings)...a bit small and too dark. Typical: Home...About...Services...Gallery...Contact
Keep the simmetry of the pages...they need to look more or less the same. People get used to a layout, but get irritated when pages change accross the site...
Have a look at other photograpers' sites. It will give you a good idea...
