About 3:1 Panoramic
This group is simply a panoramic picture group. Post panorama's taken in a 3:1 ratio!
I find the 3:1 is a great standard for pano's both for aesthetic and economic reasons.
Aesthetically, it stands out as obviously panoramic without going so far as to create a thin sliver that is difficult to view or display. Widescreen monitors can fit it quite easily with lots of vertical viewing for fine detail.
Economically it is a fantastic format. Most pro printing labs offer large prints in a 12x36" format, which is exactly 3:1. And even if they do not, simply layer 2 panoramic photo's on top of each other to create a 3:2 format that you simply have to make a single cut down the middle.
