08 Apr 07 - For most Lands End, for some immigrant it was the Lands Beginning and the first thing they saw of San Francisco. In its western-most edge it stretches from Seacliff and China Beach all the way to the Cliff House. Long a forgotten jewel, it has recently been part of an upgrade and restauration effort by "Trails Forever" which is a project of the National Parks Service and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Lands End's path was the right of way of an old steam railroad from 1888...
