About Battleship Texas
The last surviving example of its class to serve in both WWs, and kept in the 1940s era for display.
While primarily about the Texas, any Battleship photos are welcome. The older ones are going fast, and should be preserved as living history.
In 1994 I was hired by the TDPW to photograph the ship how she was at that time. It took 3 months working 1 day a week (the only day it was closed to the public), and I was given access to any area I wished.
Preliminaries were made in MF 120, and actual archival shots made in 4x5 LF using Agfapan 100, 400, and Agfachrome 100.
Majorily shot in b&w, where an interesting image presented itself, a 2nd exposure was made in color.
