About Urban Agriculture

This group is for urban farming and urban agricultural projects.

We define urban agriculture/urban farming as that which fits the following criteria:

1. Projects which produce food to support more than just the grower/s. Market gardens, for instance, or a backyard chicken coop that supplies a neighborhood with eggs.

2. Projects that are run and managed by a community or group in a collective or co-operative fashion. (This does NOT include the average community garden, which is a group of people gardening for themselves on a neighborhood plot. Community gardens are wonderful, and we love them, but they are not urban farming as we envision it here.)

3. Of course, these projects must be located within the geographical area of a city or town to fit the criteria of this flickr group.

The administrators reserve the right to remove photos at our discretion.
