About Pillboxes

Pillboxes from any country, any period. If you like spending your weekends dragging other people around to look at concrete and getting covered in mud, then this is the group for you.

Pillboxes are an important part of our national heritage, but sadly many are disappearing, often bulldozed out of the way without a second thought by over-zealous developers. Let's make a record now before some disappear altogether. Why not look around your local area and find some to add to this group?

In this group we accept pillboxes, anti-tank and field gun emplacements,, coastal searchlights, MMG and spigot mortar positions etc. Feel free to add as many pillboxes as you like and help other fans of them identify what sort they are. Please look at some of the wonderful additions that have been added to the group and perhaps be inspired to find a new hobby!
