15 Oct 09 - It is a rainy time of year, perfect for a day on a hike. In the woods, around town, in your backyard, front yard, your neighbours yard. Just get out there and take pictures. The snow is here again in some parts of the world...it would be interesting to see a combination of rain and snow in one picture! Anyone have any interesting rain during snow on the ground pictures?

About Rain Showers

Water drops falling on my head.

Most look out the window and decide to stay indoors. Rain drops and a camera lens don't mix.

We don't let that stop us from getting those wet shoe, soaked back, water stained pictures.

Perspective is everything, we want to see the world at all times, including those inconvenient soaking wet times.

1.You must submit pictures taken during the rain itself, those ‘after the rain beautifully wet reflective pavement’ pictures are just all washed up.
2.True rain pictures are taken from the comfort of the elements, not from the safety of a shelter behind a window.
3.Water spots on the lens are ok as seen in the photograph. When wet, one sees our world through the lens of water splashed eyes.
4.Please don’t complain to me if you damage any equipment in the attempt to capture the perfect rain photograph.
5.When complete, be sure to clean your lens from water spots so as to not to ruin all those other beautiful photos you are all taking and posting on this site.

Thank-you for submitting photos and look forward to the next rain shower.
