12 Aug 09 - IMPORTANT!!!!!

I've been informed that several members are posting photos to the group that were not taken with a DSLR camera, rather just a point and shoot. PLEASE be aware that this group is strictly for images taken using DSLR technology and not your regular old digital cameras. I will be taking steps to delete any images that do not comply with this rule.
I really don't want to have to turn on the option to approve each and every image, that's not what this group's about!

About DSLR beginners club

For those just starting out, or returning to, digital SLR photography. A discussion forum of photographic techniques, adventures in depth of field, and celebrations of wonderful first-shots.

Make the transition from 35mm easier and ask advice from other beginner-intermediate photographers. For those more advanced photographers, come here and share your knowledge.

It would be great if you could include information about the lens and camera settings you've used with the photographs you submit!

Interesting topics of discussion

Cayusa started a great thread about photographic books and similar resources, which can be found here
This post here has been started about the 50mm f1.8, the amazingly affordable lens that ever 350D/400D etc owner should have!
A topic here discusses Underexposure and compares different models of DSLR (canon/nikon)

Other informative threads will be listed here for ease of navigation, just let the admin know if you'd like one put here (things that you think you might like to reference in the future, and that other beginners may benefit from).
