About Dallas Graffti & Street Art
This group is here to here to celebrate and enjoy the ever growing dallas graffiti and street art scene. This group is open to street artists (not proformers; I'm talking about those who work with: a can, wheat past, stickers, markers, cardboard, soap, ect..), those who document it, and those who just enjoy it.
graffiti:
1. (used with a plural verb) markings, as initials, slogans, or drawings, written, spray-painted, or sketched on a sidewalk, wall of a building or public restroom.
2. (used with a singular verb) such markings as a whole or as constituting a particular group: Not much graffiti appears around here these days.
street art:
1. Street art is any art developed in public spaces - that is, "in the streets" — though the term usually refers to art of an illicit nature (as opposed to, for instance, government or community art initiatives). The term can include traditional graffiti artwork, though it is often used to distinguish modern public-space artwork from traditional graffiti and the overtones of gang territoriality and vandalism associated with it.
Street art is the art on the streets.
Feel free to share photos of your work that you have up around dallas as well as stuff you've been working on in your black books.
Please do not post up portraits unless it is of a street/graffiti artist by his/her work. Photos must contain the work/sightings of tags, past ups, stickers, street art, ect..
