Don't know if anyone is still around, but I'm working in elementary schools now, and can't wait to start making bentos again! I've been researching onigiri and am so excited!
Anyone else still active???

Yay! People!
@Aiko, I'm probably not going to be doing kyaraben any time soon. For one thing, No one sees my bentos but me, and while I'm sure the little kids at school would love to see some, It'd also be a hassle explaining it every single day. More importantly, I'm lazy and pre-make everything, just to throw into my lunchbox the morning of in like 10 minutes. kyaraben are so complex i think it'll take lots of practice to make it a quick meal.

Just made a nice sized batch of onigiri yesterday (half stuffed with spicy canned tuna, half stuffed w/ seasoned canned tuna & umeboshi) and have them all tucked away in the freezer ready for a quick lunch! Didn't have school today, but ate one anyway; so yummy!
