Dan sounds like a plan, more than interested, do you need us to print them off, or just send over the images to you to get printed?
Cheers
Mark

Hi Dan,
You already received my 'yes' via email.
It's great to see that community spirit is still alive and kicking, at least on Flickr.
Personally speaking they can use any of my images, but if anyone's from the group feature I would be really pleased.
Great idea Dan.

Brilliant stuff and a great response.
It's a really good opportunity to showcase the good work you chaps do.
Found out a bit more info. It's the old Tesco site on The Bridge that is getting window wrapped. A more central spot I'm not sure it's possible to get.
How to get images to me? Hi res shots forwarded to daniel.slee1972@gmail.com would be fab. I'll also try and download - with your permission - from Flickr direct.

Hi Dan - All my Photos (except the Walsall Museum & Leather Museum pictures, due to their restrictions) are CC licensed, so if you want any, you should be able to get them direct from Flickr.

Hi Dan,
Great to see the council picking up this idea (thanks for the credit). I've landed back from Nashville now after being away, so just catching up with things.
Yes I shall email a few shots too, I guess you only need a handful from each person otherwise you'd get overwhelmed. We could set up a little gallery so that we can add the ones that have actually been printed for prosperity and I'm sure people will photograph the end result too.
Could you just confirm that we have until Wednesday as discussed?
Cheers for this
Lee

Lee, it was a great idea. Sometimes they re-emerge several months down the track when they can't be done when they're first talked about : )

Quick recap of where we are. I've forwarded the jpegs and the links you've very kindly forwarded through to our town centre team and print and design lot. I'll get more of an update - I hope - when I'm back in on Monday.
Thanks again for the brilliant response.

Cheers for your great work on this Dan, it's a really good thing. Let us know which shop and I'm sure we'll all go down to see it.

Cheers, Lee. It'll be the old Tesco store on The Bridge. A primer site it's not possible to get I don't think!
I've popped down to have a quick over the shoulder look of the graphic designer at the work in progress and it looks really, really good.
The artwork has the Flickr images in boxes linked by lines and there's town centre info on there too.
As it's still in progress, there's probably no point in listing which works have been chosen just yet (the grapghic designer has been doing all that, I'm happy to say!) but I will do once it's finished and I'll look to post an image to the Walsall Council Flickr stream that our man Kev looks after.
Will keep you posted.

That sounds very interesting. Have already discussed exhibiting photos in a similar sort of way over here in Tipton. We were thinking about the old Woolworths site in Dudley.
Great idea.
Keep me informed.

Apparently, it looks "really good" and should be going up in a couple of weeks time. They're waiting for some artwork from the landowners so they can finish off. I'll try and post a screen shot when it's looking finished.
This almost certainly won't do it - or your work - justice though ; )

Okay, so faster than a speeding.... three month old travelling bullet. I've heard from Jon that the window wrap is now getting installed so you'll be able to see some of the shots from the Walsall Flickr group quite literally in the shop window at the old Tesco.
I've not seen the finished artwork at all so I'm not sure which pics have been selected and which haven't. I'll pop down and have a look and post here.
A big massive THANK YOU to those who allowed their work to be used. It's a good chance to brighten up a shop window, showcase what you do and show that there are some very talented people living and working in Walsall.

Just popped along and it looks good. It's a mix of info about town centre things, Arbo makeover sthings and images. Apologies if you submitted something and didn't get anything used. As I mentioned, I passed it all onto the graphic designers.
From today's visit there are contributions from Mark Wood, Gary Crutchley, Compact Col, Beasty, Tony Marsh, Richard Thompson, Steph Jennings, Tim Ellis, Stuart Williams and Keith Povall.
Well done all.

Good work all!
It would be great to repeat this if at all possible or do something similar. I'm open to ideas if anyone has them. You can find me here or at sleed@walsall.gov.uk.
On a personal note I really think you lot should do a calender or postcards. So many of your images are too good not to share as widely as possible.
Secondly, it's very last minute but the Express & Star are keen to do a photocall at circa 9.15am tomorrow (that's Thursday Oct 20.)
Meet by the old Tesco if you are in town or can come down.
