Oh good, I'm really excited about seeing the tutorial. I've always loved TTV shots, but never quite known how to do them. *Awaits eagerly*.

Good place to start www.russmorris.com/ttv/02.html
These old cameras are on ebay for as little as a dollar and shipping. Besides for something like this the more scratches on the lens the better right.

Another TTV for TTV week! Today, I think I'm actually going to put together a fake TTV, because I'm crazy like that.

Another TTV! But this one's a fake one, with the border, dust, and scratches all added in Photoshop. It was surprisingly easy.

Not a TTV (I've got to get me a camera appropriate for it...), but an interpretation of the 'frame' theme.

(It feels like I've been doing TTV week forever! I don't know how I ever managed to stick with a theme for an entire 200 days last time. :S)

I just have to come here and give a shout out to the Through the Viewfinder Group.
There you can find links to tutorials and discussions of tips and different cameras, etc. The guys who started the group really started the TTV technique, and I thought they should get some credit. :-)
Go check it out!

"black and white world though a color lens" by Net_Guy

Unfortunately my duriflex ebay auction will not end for two days, so I had to fake it. So I figured I would go for a look that could not be shot with conventional TTV but kept the concept.

The black framing on the face matches and accents the eyes.

Dark Shirts Make for Better Silhouettes. (Day №160.)

This was entirely by accident, actually, but when I was looking at the picture this morning I noticed the right border of the window and the moulding on the wall frame my head. It’s not the best natural framing, but I like it anyway. :)
