Happy New Year, everyone!
I'm back...Today is Day 1. I completed my first 365 Days project in 2008. I did other projects in 2009 & 2010 and took a year off from Flickr last year.
My goal this time around is to master lighting. I've got two Speedlights, but I really don't know how to use them effectively. And, if the people who believe that the Mayans have predicted that this is the final year of the world are correct, I figured a record of the end of the world would be a good thing.
I'm an American, living in Japan since 1982. I look forward to getting to know some of you and having a look at your work.

What better time to start a 365 than on day one of the year? I'm doing this project so that I force myself into taking pictures and beginning to understand lighting and composition. Also, since I'm incredibly bad at letting other people take pictures of me, this will serve as a nice opportunity to actually have my face seen in the world of the Intertubes.

Hi,
I've been meaning to try this 365 theme for a while, so thought I'd eventually give it a go in 2012. I normally take random outdoors/landscape/urban type shots of places and things around Bristol, UK, and more interesting parts of the UK, so this self portraiture experience will be interesting and useful!

Hi all, just posted my Day 1 yesterday - like Mav I've done this a few times before. Completed the first two years and then had part years for the following two but it's time to get back on with it now, I loved it so much and got such a massive sense of achievement and satisfaction when I could look back over a completed year that I'm doing it again. No gaps, no forgetting, just portraits, some great, some crap, lots happy, some sad. That's what a year is like and that is why I love this project so much.

I'm David, I started punctually on Jan 1 2012 but missed this group. So here I am at day 8 and it's been a challenge already! Being typically someone who starts projects with masses of motivation that quickly diminish as I go in search of new challenges, this will be tough for me!
I've also decided to turn my hobby into my profession this year - therefore it's gonna be doubly challenging!

Ah shoot, I also missed the group and now I'm a couple of days in.
I also ran into the problem of challenging myself probably too strongly for the 356's, so now it's taking me ages to actually finish one while I have real busy days. I'm doing it wrong, ain't I?
Well, in the end my goal is to get better and more secure in front of and behind the camera and enjoy the therapeutic vibe of a self prortrait, so I guess it's alright if I don't deliver every day.

Hi!
I just found this group and as I've been thinking of doing something like this for a while - why not join in? So, here I am.

It's not my first day, nor even my first month, but I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Felicia and this is my second attempt at a 365, though the first that I'm sticking to selfies. Hi I am Sarah I just found this group I am on day 133 of my very first 365..but look forward to starting with this group. my theme for my 365 is bouncing back from my Total Hip Replacement at age 36..my dr said it would take a year to recover this is my journey! I do like to have fun with my 365 (best medicine to take my mind off my hip)....my fiance (we got engaged 3 weeks ago..you can see it in a pic on my 365 ;)) pops up in quite few pics with me..he tends to be more entertaining than I, so I can't have him in all the pics and stealing the spotlight ;) For feb I am doing a themed month..all about Love. like to keep my photos fun as well as true to what I am goin through. Learning a lot from this photo journey! Look forward to seeing pics in this group!

Hello Everyone,
My name is Tim. l'm not a photographer. Although l own two cameras, a Can on G11 and a Rolleiflex, l have no idea how they work but during the next 365 days, l might begin to understand them a bit better. My idea is to travel round my body and tell the story of my life by recounting a tale about each part l shoot or a story which has some relevance to each part l shoot. l guess this has been done before. My 61st birthday is on 18th May so l am going to start on that day if l may. l hope that's allowed but if not l suppose l shall be booted off the group before l've begun. Oh well.
