About ** 365 BLACK **
The 365 BLACK group is a project in which members submit one photo each day for a year.
The Challenge: Take one photo each day for a year, representing the blackness of your soul, what blackness means to you as an artist, your love of black coffee, black t-shirts, black sabbath, black shamrocks, how society oppresses the black man, etc, etc.
The Rules: each and every photo must be comprised of at least 76.8% negative black space. Absolutely no exceptions. Any subject matter is fine... from self portraits to cityscapes to abstracts to sexually explicit photography involving tennis rackets... so long as it conforms to the 76.8% rule, we don't care. Digital experiments and non photographic artwork is also welcome.
Only one photo can be submitted to the group per day.
If you don't think you can make it the entire year, we encourage you to join anyway. The point of this group is not necessarily to post exactly 365 photos, but rather to try and fail, and fail miserably.
Labeling: Feel free to title your photos with the submission number and group name... ie: 1.365 Black, 2.365 Black... but this is entirely up to you. You are also encouraged to use the tag 365black.
