i'm starting this group with the intention of beginning on 01 january 2010… trying to maintain an upload of one photo each day that is experimental in nature. join me, and let's go!

recently i've been all about experimental: homemade redscale film, modding my holga, shooting thru the sprockets on 35mm film, double exposures with different cameras, using film masks, using filters to get a full circle from vignetting, modding my p&s. i've got lots more ideas planned still for 2010.

365: Experimental is about concepts. not about photoshopping or tone mapping or heavy post processing. while digital editing is certainly allowed, the focus here is on experimental photographic techiques. Go old skool and put Vaseline on your lens/filter. Go new school and put a holga lens on a dSLR body. Shoot pinhole or solargraphy. This group is all about experimentation. Trying new things with the risk of either failure or reward.


this group should be joined only by active flickr members... or, in more honest terms... flickr junkies (like myself). by those that don't simply 'dump' images into group pools. but also visit others' streams and comment. are active. help build the community. who are thoughtful and find the incredible value of this shared photographic foundation we call flickr.
