photos and even your paintings that evoke or recreate if you like the work of one of my all time favorite american artists Edward Hopper

I always felt
if Henry miller whos my favorite american writer I sometimes thought if he also painted maybe it would look like a Hopper painting except a bit more lively and explicit., and sorid and grimey
Hopper pretty much painted the mundane , the isolated, everyday things of life, a peek through someones apartment window His paintings were about nothing but they were about alot
they were about life
everyday mundane clock ticking by the time life and he did it so well
And his use of color was beautiful vibriant but soft
He was a incredible artist who saw american life as it really was not how TV and movies glamed it up to be or leave it to beaver father knows best brady bunch family I dont even recall if there were children in his paintings like happy family life do any of you recall seeing that
his work was lonely but I find it comforting
early moring streets remind you of when you came home dragging your self after being out all nite before stores open
he was great
thats just my opinion
if you dont know this artist's Edward Hoppers work by name you really should google him up hes amazing Youll prorably reconize one famous one of two people in a corner coffee shop at a counter late at nite
lots of film makers used his feel his style in his paintings in there films even though he painted in color his work had a very film nior feel and a very american look even his non urban paintings

so no porn no cute kitty cats family fun picnic photos NO LOOK AT ME portraits nop 5 versions of the same thing

because of the fact I"ve SO many groups to moderate and Ive been ill
I have to limit submissions I just cant get to it every day and go through 1,000s of photos
