Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way.

Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world.

When the eye or the imagination is struck with an uncommon work, the next transition of an active mind is to the means by which it was performed. Make us wonder!

Photography deals exquisitely with appearances, but sometimes...nothing is what it appears to be. Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if.."; And then do it!

It is your right to be uncommon! We want uncommon ideas, images, originality. Try to evoke uncommon feelings in the person who is viewing your photograph. Basically, we are asking you to CREATE art, not just find and photograph an uncommon object.

This group is about artistry, creativity, and getting away from the ordinary.

NO SNAPSHOTS. TRY NOT TO OVER DO IT WITH HDR AND ABSOLUTELY NO PORN. Artistic nudes ok. No pet photos unless they are remarkably artistic. No macro flowers unless they are exceptionally unusual...you get the idea. Also, please, if it is just a straight portrait shot there are tons of groups out there for those photos. Remember we are looking for the uncommon.

This group is about being creative.

Not just photos of things you don't see everyday but photos that take something you may or may not see everyday and make it artistic. Creativity is the key, first and foremost.

Come on, we challenge you...stretch your artistic wings and see what happens.
