About Red Pioneers

Purpose of this group is to gather fotos from and of the young pioneers of the communist era. Particularly pics from the holiday camps, such as Artek in the USSR, Wilhelm Pieck in the DDR or the camps at Balafon Lake in Hungary, Sitno and Pec in Tjekkoslovakia etc. Its not intended as a political forum, though all kinds of comments are welcome - personally I had a great time in the camps, but I also encountered the falsehood of the communist states, and a guinean friend of mine saw her father jailed while we were at Artek and later the man was executed.
So, the pioneer life is a part of history and should be recorded now. Plus, I hope some people who went to the same camps as me will come forward with their own shots.
