Kathy has suggested that we try to paint to the theme of one of my poems. Wow., a challenge to everyne not least me. As this is an experiment I thought to best to offer a very short one that lends itself to facial images - so here goes (interpet it as liberally as you like as usual)
Candle lover
You inhabit me
in your rejection
as a burned out candle
stays in the room
I breathe you in
unknowingly
bound together
in separation.
Tell me so

Wow Vic - this poem is already evoking images in my mind and emotions in my heart. I wonder if I can paint something that is even close to what your words describe. Will try!!

Ive done mine, I went to the garden grounds of Hatley Castle in Royal Roads in Colwood, British Columbia Canada. Almost the last picture I took was my reflection in the window pane like, like an afterthought of the event and the end of the afternoon, the last presence left in the room before it all goes away. It has been Photoshopped into a water color and I'm rather proud of it.
