About Cartoon Land

This ain't your dusty granny's art! No academic fruit bowls or boring illustrations live in Cartoon Land. Artists’ with paintings, drawings and sculpture's informed by, based on, inspired by or otherwise fueled by cartoon or comic book imagery have been dominating the commercial and increasingly the fine art world since the new millennium kicked in ten years ago. Artists range in age from the old school–Generation Xers (born between 1964 and 1981) who started it, to Millennials (born after 1982). The oldest grew up with shag carpet and Saturday morning cartoons while the youngest consider Cow and Chicken and Dexter's Laboratory "classics" but all the artists here are inspired in some form by the humble power of the cartoon line.
All cartoon-based artwork is welcome (except for Anime) This group is offically sponsered by Blah Blah Gallery, created and administered by it's Director, Richard Mullins. Membership is by invitation only. Members can submit up to 3 artworks per day. This is to be a quality art group, with 100 percent sponsorship by the legendary, Blah Blah Gallery. Please ENJOY!
