About Cadogan Estate London SW1
The Cadogan estate in central London SW1 stretches from Lower Sloane Street and Sloane square to the South all the way to Knightsbridge to the North and from the Cadogan Place to the East to York Barracks and Codogan Square and Cadogan Gardens to the West.
Cadogan Estates Ltd is the property investment company that runs the Cadogan family’s Chelsea estate in the 21st century. It is chaired by the 8th Earl Cadogan. The estate includes some of London’s most famous streets and squares – including Sloane Street, Sloane Square and Cadogan Square, as well as Duke of York Square, which was opened in 2003. It covers almost 90 acres, with some 15 acres of gardens, 1,000,000sq.ft. of retail space including 2 department stores, in excess of 500,000sq.ft. of offices, educational and medical accommodation, leisure facilities that include 12 hotels, a 900 seat concert hall, 700 seat cinema and 400 seat theatre, and a significant amount of residential accommodation, most of which is long leasehold and therefore potentially subject to enfranchisement although some 450 houses and flats are available on a rental basis. In 2004, the estate was valued at £1.85 billion.
