About Save The Gardens
The Bermuda Government has recently announced that it intends to build a new hospital in the Botanical Gardens. This will swallow up a huge chunk of green space, destroy a valuable and popular community garden and decrease the general quality of life for all residents.
There is no other reason why the new hospital can't be constructed on the original site apart from the financial cost. The Government needs to realise that green space and community facilities such as the Botanical Gardens are of great financial value to the island and are not things, which should be obliterated in a desperate attempt to save cash.
