About Nursery-web spiders ahoy!
In Britain, there's apparently only one species of Nursery Web Spider, Pisaura mirabilis. These are common in grassland and shrubby type habitats, and easily recognised by the way they tend to hold their front pairs of legs together, as well as having a little blonde mohican.
However, there's a huge amount of variation in the patterns on their backs, and we're not convinced that there isn't at least several subgroups. So, we want pictures of nursery-web spiders from anywhere in Britain. It's vital you tell us where it's from, and show the colour pattern on the back, equipment allowing. Artistic shots thoroughly encouraged! :-)
