The hard work of all your contributers in tracking down and photographing the UK Heteroptera fauna has led to www.britishbugs.org.uk - please refer to this site to help in identification, and keep posting on here as well - there are lots more species to find yet..

About British Bugs - Heteroptera only! :-)

No beetles, spiders, VW cars or flowers, please. Not even aphids or psyllids. We want real Heteroptera, and only those found in Britain. The group is a nightmare to id, but with a bit of luck we can get somewhere with a bit of focused discussion and comparing of photos. This is a group to enjoy the wonderous diversity of these delightful little beasties. Let's see how many species we can get this year...

Go easy on the shieldbugs, though - we know all about them, and it's possible to get guides quite easily. Besides, there's a group just for them elsewhere. :-)
