About South Loop, Chicago
Stay in Chicago a while and you'll hear as many definitions of the South Loop's boundaries as there are South Loopies. We think many of them are loopy - the definitions, not the residents.
YoChicago considers the South Loop to be the area bounded by the Stevenson Expy (2450 S) on the south, Jackson Blvd (300 S) on the north, from Lake Michigan west to the Dan Ryan Expy.
Full disclosure: until recently we considered our current take on the South Loop's boundaries to be loopy - and reserve the right to do so again.
