I am so looking forward to getting one of these in London on Monday evening. I just looked through some of the Paris and Berlin photos and got stupidly excited to see my photo on the wall there!

You would have been notified by Flickr if your photo was chosen. If you haven't been notified already, it wasn't.

Ok thanks Brenda.
I also thought people were going to be voting for which photos would go in. I'm sure that's what was said before? I don't remember seeing any voting going on, though I guess I should have checked back more often, maybe?

No, there was no voting. The photos were chosen by Flickr.

I'm really excited to get my book!!! (it deserves atleast 3 exclamation points) I would love to go to one of the events, too bad there haven't been any planned for Kansas City. I hope that there are 10,000 times ten books sold. Meds sans Frontieres its an incredible organization...
Bon chance.

Hello!
Thank you for sending me the coupon code, I just placed the order the book with it. I'm looking forward to the arrival :-D.
I wish I could join some 24 hours of Flickr events in Europe, but unfortunately I'm in Japan. I hope you and all the people joined it had/have a great time.
Thank you very much indeed for giving us such a great opportunity that we can share a lot of fun & happiness!

I have a potentially silly question...
The proof on the Blurb site shows a world map with little thumbnails of photos placed where they were taken (or presumably geo-tagged). Anyway, I note with some excitement that my photo is sitting on Brisbane (Australia) (or at least it very much resembles my photo).
Anyway, the photos on the map, are they the photos that were published in the rest of the book, or just a further sample of photos in the pool that happened to also be geo-tagged ?
I ask because I never rec'd any email saying my photo was accepted, or requesting a high-res version, so I'm guessing it's the latter case, which is fine, I'm just curious to know.

David... The map were a sample of photos that were geotagged and not include further on in the book. There's a credit link in the index at the back that links to the following:

Heather, there are photos on the map that ARE in the book......the two UK pebble balanced ones for starters..... and although I am credited on the 24hoursmap page, my photo isn't actually on the map. :-(

Is anyone knows what is the total weight of the book + package ?
I've 1Kg allowance to have it shipped from my office's address to my current work location.

When I received the book via UPS (Canada), the declared weight for the book and package was 2lbs (or just shy of 1kg), but the book itself is probably 500g at the most. You should be okay with the 1kg allowance.

It was nice finding out that my picture made it on the map. Flickr should send notice to people who got on the map, I found out from a friend. Instant book sales!
Also, why is the map missing an All Sizes button, did it forget to buy a pro account? It might be helpful for those who don't know if their photo is on the map.
