Quickr Flickr Greasemonkey script
|
Hello all you crazed bokeh machines that live the 24-7 life of bokeholism....
As a relentless user of Flickr, and a web developer, I've created a greasemonkey script to make a better user experience for the most common of tasks. Due to Flickr's most recent push to clean up their HTML (which broke several of my most favorite scripts) I went ahead and implemented a few of my 'must haves' to using flickr to work along side the new push. Here is my script (appropriately named Quickr Flickr):
photography.dustindiaz.com/download/quickr-flickr.user.js
It adds basic functionality.
press "←" to navigate to the previous photo.
press "→" to navigate to the next photo
press "esc" to focus the comment box
This will not be compatible with "move comment form up" if you already had that one installed, nor the "buddy icon reply" (which also broke anyway).
This is most optimal for 1024 resolutions.
What this will also do is:
* fix your comment reply box to the bottom left (it sticks)
* adds a "reply" link on every comment — then inserts the appropriate HTML into the comment box when replying to your commenters.
If you don't know what Greasemonkey is, you can
a) nevermind this message... or...
b)
- get firefox
- install greasemonkey plugin (restart your browser)
- then install my quickr flickr script.
feedback is welcome! complaining will be ignored since i did not do this for money, and it was done entirely in my free time.
Cheers from one of your 24-7 admins!
