About 2010 Nautical Photography Competition

Danshire Yacht Club and Knaptrackicon SLCG Station is thrilled to join with several other sailing groups and announce a 'Best Nautical Photography' contest.
The contest is all in fun, and the goal is to come up with a few winning photos that we can raffle off for charity as the "BEST OF THE BEST."
We propose to display the submitted images at many different clubs, so we can showcase the art and build enthusiasm; everyone is welcome to submit images and help display them!
After the judges pick the winners, we'll hold a fun auction event to celebrate the artists, and hopefully raise some $L for charity!
Zowee Sorbet and Lanelle Saunders of SLCG are willing to lead this project; Woots!!! Please join in!!!
The judges for the contest will tentatively include Dil Spitz (SLSailing's laureate photographer), Oona Ra (a longstanding gallery owner in SL and RL), and Marianne McCann (arguably the single most knowledgeable 'content' person in all SL). They are not affiliated with any particular club or region, and they have the option to recruit any/ all additional judges they feel appropriate to help reach a valid decision!!!
